Medicare/Medicaid lookup tool

Have you used HealthSpring’s Medicare/Medicaid lookup tool? This convenient self-service tool makes it easy to verify whether a client is eligible for Medicare and/or Medicaid. It is available on HealthSpringforBrokers.com. To access the tool, locate the Tools menu on the homepage and select “Medicare/Medicaid Eligibility.”
The Medicaid lookup tool is currently available for Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Texas.* The tool communicates directly with each state to provide real-time updates on a client’s Medicaid status. In most cases, it displays both full and partial beneficiaries and includes applicable statuses, such as QMB, QI, SLMB, and SLMB+.
By confirming a client’s Medicaid status with HealthSpring’s lookup tool, brokers can:
- Save time by eliminating the need to call a state office or HealthSpring or search for a recent letter verifying coverage.
- Determine whether a client qualifies for the plans being considered.
- Help increase the availability of HealthSpring’s Agent Resource Center for other critical broker questions and issues.
The Medicare lookup tool is available for all states.
